Visiting the Old City of Philadelphia is one of the most emotional things I've experienced. I walked around with a choke and a quiver at the notion of revolutionary pursuit of independence and freedom.
I'm including some pictures, I never take enough, but it was pretty cool.
Went to the Christ Church cemetery and visited the grave of Benjamin Franklin. Seeing the numerous memorials to children who died and were buried with their parents (including Franklin's four year old) reminded me of the perils of prior ages and the amazing world of medicine and comfort we live in today. It was hard to imagine the tremendous amount of loss families routinely endured.
Cool trip, somber day.
personal post just because.
today is a day of peace, though not happiness. because today marks the end of a 15 year cold war. on one side was bratting and grumpiness, on the other was casual racism and enforced cuddles. there's much i could say but honestly only one thing that matters. I'll miss you my nigga bitch. rest well Claire.
