That's right! Today, our Family case resolved and our kids came home. Elation has been off the charts here as arbitrary timelines and half-cocked stories got to collide with reality and this part of a nightmare comes to a close.
This type of legal proceeding is a millstone around the necks of everyone involved and legal protections are eroded. I don't wish it on anyone, as every bedrock principle of the American Legal system takes a back burner.

Savannah Guthrie will no longer be part of NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage | By Stephen Battaglio | Feb. 3, 2026 | LA TIMES
“Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will not head to Milan for NBC’s 2026 Winter Olympics coverage as she deals with the ongoing police investigation into the suspected abduction of her mother [Nancy Guthrie].
“Savannah will not be joining us at the Olympics as she focuses on being with her family during this difficult time,” an NBC Sports representative said Tuesday in a statement. “Our hearts are with her and the entire Guthrie family as the search continues for their mother.”
Guthrie was scheduled to co-host NBC’s telecast of the Friday opening ceremonies for the Milan Cortina Games alongside Terry Gannon of NBC Sports. The network representative said alternative plans will be announced shortly.

The accused is 29-year-old Marius Borg Høiby. He's the son of Norway's Crown Princess – but outside the line of succession as he was born before his mother married into the royal family. Today in Oslo, he pleaded not guilty to the most serious of 38 counts against him – including four counts of rape. The charges also include abuse, acts of violence, transporting marijuana, and making death threats. Høiby was arrested again on Sunday on suspicion of assault, making threats with a knife and violating a restraining order.
